100th MP joins our global fight
More than 100 MPs back our call for an end to animal cosmetics testing
Over 100 MPs are now backing our joint campaign with The Body Shop for an end to animal cosmetics testing everywhere and forever. Dundee MP Stewart Hosie became the 100th MP to sign an Early Day Motion (EDM), calling for a worldwide ban on cosmetics testing on animals.
In June we teamed up with The Body Shop to put a permanent end to animal suffering for cosmetics products and ingredients by 2021. Our global petition, for an international law to ban cosmetics testing on animals has been signed by over 3.7 million people including celebrities such as Games of Thrones star Maisie Williams and TV personality, Kelly Osbourne.
Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International, says: “We are delighted that so many MPs from across politics who recognise the need to end dated and inhumane cosmetics animal testing. We urge all the UK’s politicians to speak out for those who have no voice by taking this to parliament and getting this heard by the United Nations.”
Tell your MP to ban it for the bunnies!
Thanks so much for your support – you’re changing the world for animals!
