Changing policy to end animal testing worldwide
How we work with governments to create positive change.
Across the world
Animals in laboratories suffer regardless of national boundaries, so we work with governments around the globe. Cruelty Free International experts lobby and work with politicians and decision-makers across the United States, the European Union, Canada, China, Russia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Kenya. Always talking rationally and constructively to work with legislators and the wider public to help animals.
Building support for change
As well as politicians and decision-makers, we work with compassionate people to build strong popular backing for moving away from cruel and antiquated animal experiments in countries worldwide. Using undercover investigations in laboratories, popular petitions and peaceful campaigns we draw public attention to animal suffering in laboratories and build a consensus that a new approach is needed.
Developing constructive proposals
Each country has a different starting point. Some have an extensive existing animal testing system with many vested interests, but are open to considering a different direction. Others are still developing safety testing and research and are open to the best new approaches. We work constructively with politicians and regulators to give a genuine hope for change for animals.
Winning the argument
We promote open-minded debates in national and regional legislatures to raise the issue, working with friendly politicians urged on by a million supporters around the world. We encourage the election of politicians open to change and keen to find the best results to end cruelty while protecting the needs of progressive, humane science.
